Looking for other guitarists to jam on anything Dead. Love the old -timey acoustic stuff of Garcia and Grisman, but open to play any Dead tunes. Hi! I'm starting a ukulele meet up for us Brooklynites who are inclined towards playing small instruments and singing great tunes! All levels are welcome! I run a uke jam that meets every fourth Thursday of the month at Freddy's Bar and Backroom in Park Slope from 8pm - 9:30. Jersey Jam is a friendly low key open jam format for all levels of singers and musicians. We meet at the Robin's Nest in Linden, NJ which is a Blues Club. The majority of the songs performed as a courtesy to the venue are blues based. We go off the reservation though to perform Jazz, R&B, Rock, Funk, and some original material in addition to the blues. Usually each person attending the jam gets to call a 3-4 song set.
