We are having a sing-along party, and you're invited! The Pittsboro Song Circle happens in Chatham County (near the Orange County line) on the second Friday of the month. We have pot luck munchies -- bring a snack or drink, and your voices and enthusiasm. We use a "play, pick, or pass" format for our circles. We sit in a large circle, and each person gets a chance to perform something, request something (either by title or general subject), or pass. This makes for a very eclectic mix of musi …
Do you love to play music or want to learn to play? It's more fun to play with other musicians not always easy to find them. Local jam sessions and open mics can be intimidating and many of us amateurs will just go to listen. This group is meant to connect people who enjoy music and just want to play. We meet about once a month at the Skinny Beats Drumshop for group open-mic/social, but ANYONE can suggest and host a meetup. If you have an idea for a meetup or want to announce another musical e …

Anyone is welcome and encouraged to join, regardless of experience, we're just looking to have a great time. Also, if you're interested in learning more about the ukulele but haven't started playing yet feel free to swing by and get to know what we're all about. Membership in the group is free but you need to buy your own drinks :)
We meet weekly to play our acoustic instruments and to experience the joy of music shared. Each person in the circle takes a turn in saying what the next song will be. He/she says what the key is and says what the chords are. Others then follow along. This jam is best for intermediate skilled musicians. Types of music include folk, blues, mellow rock, bluegrass, country and gospel.

This is a group for anyone anyone who's interested in meeting and playing acoustic music of many kinds with a group in upstate SC or Western NC. Traditional & contemporary are welcome. I'd love to bring a little cooking (and eating) into the mix as well!
This is a group for those who simply love to make music. All skill levels are welcome. I've started this group because I love to play and enjoy the company of those joining in. The idea is to meet once a month on a Fri. For an hour (0r so).
"Expand Your Noise!" Calling all acoustic musicians (or wanna be's like me. :) This is a group about getting those instruments out...walking proudly into the world and expanding your noise! Simply put it's an acoustic jam group, but potentially, sooooooo.. much more! My vision is that it will be many goofy, memory making moments strung together as well as a way to connect with other musicians, family and friends. We will get together once a month to play (and I use this term loosely) MUSIC! ..... …
House Concerts... where living rooms are made for live music. I periodically host independent musicians at my home for intimate concerts. I like to entertain friends and discover new music and see this as a way to bring the two together. Get rid of the bar scene and come listen to and meet unique artists in a smoke free, mature environment. Dinner and/or dessert is usually included. There is no fee to attend but donations are encouraged and all funds collected go to the artist to help offset tra …
