The NOTL Ukesters are a group of local uke players and singers that meet weekly for a uke workshop. All skill levels from absolute beginner to advanced performer are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Weekly workshops are held Sunday from 4-5pm at the NOTL Community Centre. A typical session starts with a few minutes of strumming warm-up, a review of selected tunes from our repertoire for 20 minutes or so. Every year we spend a weekend in a hotel in Mississauga singing, listening, making friends and having a great deal of fun. The rest of the year, we get together for music circles, often in people's homes, and occasional concerts and other get-togethers. All skill levels, music styles and acoustic instruments welcome. Listeners highly valued.
