Songs that are in G and E flat are good for me!

Who attended?

    •  Everyone was so nice and supportive. Reallly enjoyed myself, playing my recorder along with the wonderful sound of all the various guitars.
    •  I agree with Bob's comments. It used to be that people ONLY brought in songs that they knew really well, and then were the leaders for their songs. I think we should annouce that this is the plan at the beginning of each meetup, and also include something to that effect on each Meetup Announcement so everyone knows what the deal is from the get-go. I've been told about a folk group that just goes around the circle from one person to the next 'til they run out of stuff, which sounds like a good idea to me. Anyone not bringing songs that week will be at the mercy of the rest of our musical tastes . If you stay "after hours", anything goes, as usual. What do y'all think?
    •  Great time. Good vibrations all night long.
    •  Third times the charm,,, pretty much the usual...fun...did some old and found some new songs...great... Please see my previous comments (below)...I think someone should elect to play "leader"...'facilitator' when there is any more than 5 or 6 people attending. One of the reasons the 'electric' meet up was so successful was that at least two people took the responsibility of moving it along, involving people, etc. Doesn't have to be the same person(s) but at the very least someone should 'start' a song...decide if 'everyone' wants to play a song (or play it again)..without making it a "thing", I would like to be able to ask someone (say Eric) how he did this or that in a certain section (he has an amazing musical vocabulary and memory). Again, I know that is just me but I recognize by body language/comments which things are working for others and which are not. I know it is acoustic but the woman with the recorder is great..and better yet if she could be heard...Hope this is useful
