Hi group, the Beatles meetup is looking like it could be our largest acoustic meetup to date. Many members have been kind enough to post music on the site for the meetup. You can access all the Beatle songs by clicking onto the files section on the left side of the site and print one copy for each song to bring with you. Since it's going to be a large group, if were all prepared it will help move things along a little faster. It shouldn't be the responsibility of the people posting the music to bring copies for everyone. That's what the site is for so we all need to make better use of it. If there's a problem and you can't print off the site for some reason e-mail me by Thurs. nite and I'll print up some extra copies for you. If your bringing music along and haven't posted on the site please bring copies for the other members. Anyone that has portable music stands it would help if you can bring them along. If you haven't voted for the next meetup theme you can still do so by clicking on to polls above files on the left side of the site. Feel free to bring along any food or beverage. Anyone interested in attending Roger's electric jam in Piermont on Sat. can access the info on the calender section of the site. It should be a great time. Please remember to not park in the bank parking lot next to Good Vibrations as they do tow on a regular basis. Use the large municipal lot across from the post office or park on the street. Any new members or old members with short term memory loss that need directions can obtain them by logging onto www.wehealtogether.com (Good Vibrations web site). Looking forward to a fun nite. See you all Friday...Jeff

Not only the most number of people, but 42 songs have been posted as of 4pm ... clearly a record. And we've only touched about 20% of the Beatles canon. We do have a coupe of ringers (songs credited to Harrison, for instance, not that I mind), but that's more than offset by the Golden Slumbers Trilogy and a few others that are more than one song.
See you all later. |
